Safdar is based in Qatar where he heads Al Jazeera’s Digital Products team, that leads the creative development of innovative and highly creative solutions for different Al Jazeera products and services. He’s responsible for innovating in the digital media space to broaden audience use, distribution and engagement with Al Jazeera content. This includes launching and expanding Al Jazeera's mobile, web, connected devices and gaming consoles experiences across different brand channels.
He built and mentored a team of Product Managers, Analysts and UX experts. His previous work included experimenting together with Al Jazeera’s Reporters to evaluate and lead mobile field reporting initiatives, to come up with mobile solutions and best practices for correspondents and newsrooms.
