Chief Architect of Sofia

Zdravko Zdravkov is the Chief Architect of Sofia Metropolitan Municipality Born in Pleven, Bulgaria, Chief Architect Zdravkov, spent most of his life in Sofia. His interest in architecture came at an early age. His father was a professional landscaper and directed his son’s interest to parks, landscaping of public areas and later on – to architecture. Zdravkov graduated in Architecture from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in 1997. In June 2004, he was chartered with the Chamber of the Architects in Bulgaria. He speaks English and Russian.
Arch. Zdravkov founded the Architectural Bureau QUADRA 04 and the Infra Consult Group. Since 2004, he has designed an automotive plant, the Lovech stadium, workshops, railway stations, petrol stations, residential properties, restaurants and a KFOR compound among others.
In 2016, Arch. Zdravkov was appointed as Chief Architect of Sofia Metropolitan Municipality, Architecture and Urban Planning Division. He won with his concept ‘Sofia – a city of and for the people”.
Awards
In 2011, Arch. Zdravko Zdravkov won the prestigious Building of the Year award in the Production and Logistics Buildings category for his design of the Litex Motors automotive plant in Lovech. In 2016, he received the same award in the Interior Design category for his design of a restaurant.
