Mark Vernooij is Partner at THNK School of Creative Leadership. He loves to work with large organizations and start-ups to help them become more innovative for the sake of all their stakeholders. Vernooij enjoys working with inspiring and dynamic leaders to address the world's pressing challenges and likes to do so at scale. He has experience as entrepreneur, board member, start-up mentor and innovation & strategy consultant.
In his current role at THNK, Vernooij focuses on custom made programs for organizations in the fields of innovation, digital transformation and emerging technologies. He’s also responsible for our expansion efforts in the Middle East. He has been faculty at various schools including Berkeley, Columbia, Stanford and Wharton and is a regular speaker and facilitator at events and conferences including the World Economic Forum. He has advisory board roles at several startups and foundations and is a member of the expert network on innovation at the World Economic Forum.
Vernooij holds a master’s in engineering from Delft University of Technology, an MBA from INSEAD, he studied Design Thinking at Stanford and is a certified board member. When not at work, he enjoys cycling, boating on Amsterdam’s canals and walking his dog at the beach. After living in Switzerland, France, Singapore and Hong Kong he now resides in the city center of Amsterdam and walks to work.
