Alexandru Cosoi, Chief Security Strategist at Bitdefender, is leading the company’s cyber-intelligence team in running cybercrime and darknet investigations, and post breach attack forensics as well as helping international law enforcement agencies fight cybercrime. Alexandru is also a member of the Internet Security Advisory Group at Europol and Bitdefender’s liaison with Interpol.
With an extensive background of more than 15 years in cybersecurity, Alexandru has a genuine interest in solving some of the industry’s challenges through innovation. His technical achievements have so far included six granted patents and a series of classification technologies implemented in Bitdefender software.Alexandru specializes in pattern extraction and recognition technologies, with an accent on neural networks and machine learning, and has a PhD in natural language processing.
