Matt joined Cisco’s Government Affairs team in 2015 and leads a team driving Cisco’s engagement with policy makers in the UK and Europe. Matt’s team advocates for pro-technology policies and regulations that enable Cisco’s purpose: to Power an Inclusive Future for All. Matt also chairs techUK’s International Trade group and is on the Executive Committee of the Industry and Parliament Trust.
Previously, Matt worked for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office in postings in Paris and in the UK’s Representation to the EU in Brussels. Matt has also worked as an advisor to the UK’s EU Commissioner, in the UK Prime Minister’s EU team and in the UK interior ministry.
Matt holds a BSc in Sociology and an MSc in European Politics and Policy, both from the London School of Economics, and a DipEcon from the Open University.
