Thomas Crampton is the Global Chair of Edelman Digital, the Holmes Reports 2018 and 2019 Global Digital Agency of the Year. In this role, he leads a team of more than 1,000 digital experts across 40 offices worldwide who help answer client business challenges employing a wide range of digital services. Edelman Digital’s suite of offerings – from influencer marketing, integrated performance marketing and digital transformation – help clients grow their brand, business and reputation in today’s increasingly complex and connected world.
Previously, Thomas was focused on growth and innovation as global consulting principal for Marketing Transformation at Ogilvy’s consulting arm, Ogilvy Consulting. There, he was leader of a team that helps companies from a wide range of industries undertake strategic change and digital transformation. Prior to that role, he was global managing director of Social@Ogilvy, Ogilvy’s 1,500-person global social media practice.
Before joining Ogilvy, Thomas worked as an entrepreneur-in-residence for an Asian media tycoon. In his first career, a foreign correspondent for The New York Times and the International Herald Tribune for nearly two decades, he reported on politics, economics, culture, business and technology and was based out of Europe, Asia and North America.
A frequent public speaker, Thomas has delivered keynote speeches at many events and universities, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, SXSW, Cannes Lions, DLD, Stanford University, Tokyo University and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
