Stefan Atanassov is the Chief Product Officer (CPO) of ProSiebenSat.1 Entertainment and serves as Managing Director of ProSiebenSat.1 Digital GmbH, where he is responsible for all of the company’s digital entertainment products.
Before being named CPO in September 2018, Stefan was the Chief Operating Officer of ProSiebenSat.1’ streaming service maxdome, where he headed all product management, experience design and technology teams and played a key role in preparing the transaction of maxdome to its successor business Joyn. Prior to his role at maxdome, he served as Vice President Strategy and Operations for the Digital Entertainment and eCommerce business.
Before joining ProSiebenSat.1, Stefan spent 3,5 years with McKinsey & Company, most recently as engagement manager, where he led transformative R&D and product strategy projects for C-level executives of the world's leading companies in IT, automotive, machine building, and telecommunications.
Stefan also spent 2 years with the boutique IT consulting firm IntelliCo Solutions and was founder and managing director of his own software as a service company.
Stefan earned a Master of Arts in Business from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where he received, amongst others, a scholarship from the German Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes), and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science from the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (LMU).
