Dr. Marta-Gaia Zanchi




Marta-Gaia Zanchi is the founding managing partner of European health-tech micro fund Nina Capital. Nina Capital invests in healthcare companies with a shared vision for the future of medicine in which data derived through computing, IoT, and sensor technologies deliver meaningful insight for improving health and the delivery of care. 

Prior to her return to Europe and to funding Nina Capital, Marta lived in California for over a decade. At Stanford University she was initially a doctoral student in electrical engineering, then as a faculty member and founding director of digital health at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. Trained in management and in regulatory affairs, while educating the next generation of health technology leaders at Stanford, she was founding chief executive officer of one startup, advisor and consultant to numerous, and equity partner for deep-tech venture capital fund Data Collective (DCVC) in Silicon Valley. 

In any and all her endeavors, she is an advocate for responsible and collaborative health technology innovation grounded on the understanding of true needs.
