Dr. Domenico Veneziano

Domenico Veneziano is a Urologist, Fellow of the European Board of Urology.He was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, where he actually works as a full-timephysician in the department of Urology and Kidney Transplant, G.O.M. Hospital.He is adjunct Assistant Professor of Urology, at the Hosftra-Northwell Universityof New York (USA) and adjunct Professor of Urology at the University of Modenaand Reggio Emilia (IT). In 2014 he completed a fellowship at the University ofMinnesota (USA) in “simulation and education technologies” with theaccreditation of the American College of Surgeons, the first fellowship in theworld expressively dedicated to simulation in surgery. D.Veneziano is aninternationally renowned key-opinion leader and pioneer in the field of surgicaleducation and digital healthcare, with several novelties introduced in curriculumbuilding, simulator design and in the organization of hands-on training events,with over 75 invited lectures since 2014 and over 80 courses coordinated in 16different countries. Between them, several training events in Asia and the first-ever standardized hands-on training surgical course in USA, with theendorsement of the American Urological Association. Domenico Veneziano isauthor of some of the most impactful scientific papers and book chapters in thefield of surgical education and project-coordinator of the EST-s1 curriculum,actually delivered as a training/assessment tool for surgeons in 38 countries.He acted from 2014 to 2018 as coordinator of Hands on Training for theEuropean Urological Residents Education Programme (EUREP), flagshipeducational programme of the European School of Urology, and is in charge ofthe development of novel training curriculums on behalf of the EuropeanAssociation of Urology (EAU). He is chairman and founder of the “NewTechnologies and Communication” group inside the Young Academic UrologistWorking Party (YAUWP), is a member of the ESUT board (European Section ofUro-Technology), founder and member of the ESU (European School of Urology)training group and member of the educational groups of ERUS (EuropeanRobotic Urology Section) and EULIS (European Uro-Lithiasis Section). DomenicoVeneziano is founder of Intech S.R.L. “Innovative Training Technologies”, todayexclusive partner of Scientific Societies like the EAU and the Italian Society ofUrology in the production and distribution of licensed training simulators. He iswinner of the Italian Matula award 2019 by Italian Society of Urology , for the bestitalian scientific curriculum under-40.
