Caesar Oliveira

As Cyber Defense Manager at Uniper Energy (split from E.ON), Cesar Oliveira is the Head of the Cyber Defense Center responsible to protect the energy generation, trading and innovation businesses against the digital threats across Europe since July 2018. 

In his previous roles from 2010 till 2018 at Vale - one of the biggest mining companies and the Iron global leader - he was responsible to create and develop the cyber security functions, the strategy, operations and the tactical link between those.

Over the past 22 years he has accumulated an extensive knowledge and experience of Information Technology and Information Security, including leadership and building capabilities in a strategical, tactical and operational levels working and living in diverse locations such Germany, Brazil, USA and Mexico in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.

Cesar is also very engaged on the cyber security community being contributed with global events such ISC2 Conference, Gartner Risk and Security Summit and Global Security Leaders. He is part of the Advisory Board of the ISC2 InfoSecurity Professional Magazine since 2017. He holds degrees in Information Technology and Total Quality Management. When he is not working he is riding his road bike somewhere or looking for photography projects and drone flights.
