Emmy winner, Denny Alfonso has been reporting the news in the US and the world for over a decade.

The talented bilingual journalist has covered the Rio Olympics for ESPN, the South Africa and Brazil World Cups for Telemundo, as well as major american sports events including the MLB World Series, the US Open, the NBA and the NFL playoffs.

Denny is a passionate investigative journalist, who holds experienced credits at NBC, CNN and Yahoo.

She started her career covering hard news in New York City, reporting everything from US Presidential Elections to special coverage of the General Assembly at the United Nations.

She has interviewed many world leaders including exclusives with former Bolivian President Evo Morales, former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe , as well as former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, and on special assigment for Newsweek Fidel Castro’s brother Martin Castro in Cuba.

Some of her most Q & A memorables moments covering sports include Leonel Messi at Barcelona’s Camp Nou parking lot, NBA’s All Star Kobe Bryant and soccer legend David Beckham.

Denny, who’s currently working on her first book, calls the Columbia University School of Journalism in New York her alma mater.
