Ahmed Fathi, is an American Journalist born in Egypt and based at the United Nations, he is a Global Affairs and Economic Analyst & Managing Editor of American Television News (ATN) focusing on the underserved niche of multilingual news production in the official U.N. languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian & Spanish) Ahmed is a veteran of the Tourism & Development industry for 30 years, with experience spanning the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. He started his second career in mass-media in 2009, as resident reporter of Alwafd Daily Egyptian newspaper to cover mainly the UN, and with France 24 reporting from the New York Stock Exchange, he also reported to the Egyptian Television, the Economic Channel, Saudi TV, Oman TV, Tunisia TV, Sharjah TV and AP-Associated Press Television. Ahmed is a graduate of Ain-Shams University in Egypt and holds a degree in Business Administration & Economics, and Post Graduate from the University of Bradford – United Kingdom where he specialized in International Management and Economics. Ahmed is multilingual and fluent in Arabic, English, French, Dutch and conversational Afrikaans. Ahmed's civil society career combines a balanced approach between the political, charitable and professional levels. On the political level he is active with the Egyptian American and Arab Communities; he served as the President of the Alliance of Egyptian Americans as well as serving in the National Board of other organizations. At the professional level Ahmed was elected for 2 terms to the Executive Board of UNCA-United Nations Correspondents Association, New York Press Club, and at the charitable level he is an active member with the Lions Clubs International in New York and served as a Chairman for International Relations District Level for the 65 Lions Clubs in New York City as well as the Young Innovators of the Electronic Age where he serves on the board of directors. Ahmed is regularly invited to provide commentary and analysis on various issues relating to Global Affairs and Economy with major news organizations and web casting on channels worldwide such as CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, Newsmax, NY1, CBS, PIX 11, Reuters, Alhurra TV, as well as international TV Channels such as AlJazeera-Qatar, Al-Arabiya-Dubai, CGTN-China, France24- France, RAI 5-Italy, Globo TV-Brazil, NTN24-Colombia, NHK-Japan and was featured in a webcast by the US State Dept IIPCO.NX as well as several documentaries.
