Peter Goldscheider, Co-owner and Managing Partner of EPIC, European Privatization and Investment Corporation, has over 25 years experience in the finance and securities industries. Since 1989 he has been actively involved in the transformation of the Central and Eastern European economies, and has created an extensive network of offices, partnerships and contacts throughout this region.
Since June 2011 Mr. Goldscheider serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrtelecom. In May 2011 92,97% of Ukrtelecom was acquired by ESU LTd., Epic’s subsidiary in Ukraine.
Before acquiring EPIC through a management buy-out with Gustav Wurmböck, Mr. Goldscheider co-owned and managed “Länderbank Business Development Ges.b.b.H.” which later became EPIC. Previously he was Vice President for Marketing and Sales, and Member of the Board of Zürich Kosmos Insurance Company in Austria, and he began his professional career with IBM Austria, serving in a number of executive positions, including Marketing Manager for Finance (banking and insurance).
Mr. Goldscheider served as Chairman of the Board of EPIC Advisors (Russia) Ltd., a leading Moscow-based investment bank focusing on private equity investment and corporate finance. He was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of I.EPIC Holding, Prague, a Czech industrial holding which originated as a first wave coupon privatization fund and President of the Board of KINTO, Kyiv, a leading Ukrainian investment banking firm involved in privatization, investment, asset management, and brokerage services.
Mr. Goldscheider received his Ph.D. in Law from the University of Vienna Law Faculty, attended the IBM/Harvard Business School joint senior managers program. He is the recipient of the Golden Order of Merit of the City of Vienna.
