Steven is managing partner of InSites Consulting, a leading market research and consultancy agency.
InSites Consulting strongly believes consumer connections drive conversations and, eventually, business. And we can know it, because we’ve been researching it for more than 13 years. The belief of Steven is written down in his award-winning bestselling book ‘The Conversation Manager’. The story describes how companies can manage word-of-mouth to increase their business value. It’s a story that brings the good from the ‘old’ and ‘new’ marketing together.
Steven is also part time marketing Professor at the Vlerick Management School. He teaches interactive marketing towards the mba students and is involved in different executive teaching programs. Based on the speaker evaluations of the school, Steven is one of their top performers towards business audiences. Because of this reputation, he is invited to give guest lectures at Nyenrode University and Tias Nimba business school.

In terms of background: Steven holds a degree of applied economics and studied marketing at uc Berkeley in the us. When he was a student, he won the Philip Morris Marketing award and the award for best thesis. His (short) first step in his career was an internship at Miller Brewing Company in the us, followed by 2 years of research at the Vlerick Management School. Next step was InSites Consulting (2001) where he started as consultant to become partner in 2008.
To round of some personal stuff you might want to know: Steven is married to Evi, his lovely wife. Together they have one son, Siebe. Steven is a fan of fc Bruges and really appreciates good food and a glass of excellent wine.
