Eleftherios Hatziioannou, 30, was born and grew up in Germany as the 4th son of a Greek immigrants. He has gone through both German and Greek education before gaining a bachelor degree in Business Management specialized in Marketing/ Sales and Materials Management at the University for Cooperative Education in Stuttgart (2004).
He has worked internationally in different marketing-related fields such as Sports and Event Marketing, Advertising and Interactive Marketing at Daimler for brands like Mercedes-Benz and smart. Until Dec 31st 2010 he has been global Social Media Manager for Mercedes-Benz, initiatializing the global social media engagement of the luxury brand, running multiple social media campaigns and building communities which reached millions of people around the world. Since January 2011 Eleftherios is heading the New Media efforts of the international fashion brand s.Oliver (http://www.soliver.com) developing suitable strategies and managing projects for digital brand building, social media and also mobile marketing.
He is also a consultant (http://www.peopleizers.com/) in social media and marketing related topics helping organizations and individuals to understand and embrace the social web for their purposes. He is a strong believer in the power of social technologies as a means to re-connect with customers and to re-humanize business.
