Marc Bresseel will give presentation at Europe's premier digital marketing conference Webit Congress. He has recently been appointed as Vice President Global Marketing for Microsoft Advertising. In this newly created role Marc leads a new unified and all-embracing Global Trade Marketing Team. With a strong expertise in sales, management and marketing he is responsible to develop and direct Microsoft Advertising’s global brand strategy and messaging while streamlining the company’s strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships worldwide. In his presentation at Webit Congress - the digital marketing and IT industry conference he will share his remarcable experience in this area.
Previously, Marc Bresseel served as Vice President Global Agencies for Microsoft Advertising driving Microsoft’s strategic relationships with global media agencies, and General Manager, Microsoft Advertising EMEA. During which time he grew the Microsoft Advertising business across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to outperform market growth by almost double year on year. Today, Microsoft Advertising boasts the largest sales force of any online media owner in the region focused on partnering with clients to help them determine the most compelling, creative and engaging ways to reach their audience, leveraging the broad Microsoft Advertising portfolio (MSN, Windows Live, Xbox Live, Xbox.com, Office Online, Massive in-game advertising, search) across multiple devices (PC, phone, web).
Following the acquisitions of Massive (May 06), ScreenTonic (July 07) and aQuantive (August 07), Marc also lead the EMEA integration of the advertiser & publisher tools businesses that these companies offered into the overall Microsoft Advertising proposition.
Committed to evolving the digital marketing industry, Marc is a regular speaker at industry conferences and marketing events around the world. His interest in all things digital keeps him on the cusp of the latest Internet trends. In addition, his passion for online creativity means he supports the reputable Creative Social networking group, and launched the annual Microsoft Advertising MOUSE Awards.
Marc first joined Microsoft in 1996 as Corporate Communications Manager for Microsoft Benelux. In 1999, he was appointed Director for MSN Belgium where he drove the launch of the portal, took MSN to the number one web portal in Belgium and established the leading online ad sales force in Belgium.
Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked at IBM as Public Relations Manager, before moving into the role of Business Manager in the Government Business Unit. Marc graduated from the University of Leuven (BE) with a degree in Literature & Linguistics and did a postgraduate on Business Administration.
