Jean-Pierre (JP) is General Manager (Dubai) at Uber Technologies, a technology provider that connects riders with drivers at the tap of a button in 80 cities worldwide.

Prior to Uber, JP has over 7 years of experience with TA Associates, a growth-focused private equity firm with over $18 billion under management, and Credit Suisse’s Technology M&A Group. During his career, JP has closed $1 billion worth of transactions involving leading global software and internet companies in the US and Europe.

JP returned to Dubai in 2012, where he was born and raised and his family have resided for over 50 years. After consulting for the Abu Dhabi Investment Council’s Global Special Situations group, he co-founded and launched an automotive services company, Autohaus Middle East, in Dubai.

JP is also an active investor in and fundraiser for tech startups. He is an angel investor in Boticca.com, a fast growing online fashion marketplace that has raised over $8 million in venture capital to date. In 2013, JP assisted Boticca.com in raising its $4mm Series A round and has successfully raised over $3.5mm to date in startups based in South Africa, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States.

JP is a MBA graduate from INSEAD, where he was co-President of the INSEAD Private Equity Club, and also graduated magna cum laude from Babson College.
