Elif Bakiler

Webit Speaker, Head of e-Commerce Mavi Jeans

Born in Germany and residing in Istanbul with her husband and two kids, Elif is an internet professional with 20 years of experience in marketing and e-commerce, focusing mainly on Business Strategy Development, Product Development and Marketing for online businesses.

She started her career as a Management Trainee at Koç Holding. During her career she was engaged in all areas of the digital arena (agency, advertiser, media and e-commerce). Some of the companies she worked for are; Arcelik, Bates Turkey, IXIR, Peppers & Rogers Turkey, BBDO Group, Hürriyet Internet Group, Otto Group Turkey and Mavi Jeans.

She had always been working in corporate life with an entrepreneurial spirit and was therefore lucky to be involved in many "first in Turkey projects". She headed the teams that won the first web design award, created the first e-retail site, and established the first CRM and online marketing agency. She is constantly coaching startups to accelerate their online businesses in Turkey. Now, she is Head of e-Commerce of leading jeans brand "mavi". She is also a part-time professor at Bahcesehir University’s MBA Program.

Elif holds a degree in Management from Bilkent University, completed the Design Culture & Management Program at Bilgi University and graduated from Master Studies on New Media at Kadir Has University.

She has always been very active in professional associations. She was one of the founders of IAB Turkey and IAA Young Chapter-Turkey.

She speaks Turkish English, German fluently and a little Spanish. She likes very much singing, scuba diving and snowboarding.
