Prashant Singh is Managing Director – South Asia for Nielsen. He leads the company’s Marketing Effectiveness and the Sales Effectiveness Practice Areas, which allow marketers to measure what people watch and what people buy. Part of his responsibilities is to manage Nielsen’s cross-platform media businesses spanning television, print and digital. Prashant is also responsible for the company’s businesses in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.
In his 15-year career with Nielsen, Prashant has led multiple businesses across measurement, insights, client service and has piloted key projects for clients across India and the sub-continent. He was also the Client Business Partner for PepsiCo India. Before moving to Mumbai for his current role, Prashant was Vice President at Nielsen Delhi where he focused on talent development and revenue growth. With expertise ranging from rural India consumer insights to social media and smartphone analytics, Prashant is a frequent speaker at various marketing events and oft quoted in the media. He has spoken at several marquee industry forums including the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the All India Management Association (AIMA), and AdTech.
Prashant serves on the board of TAM India Pvt. Ltd., Indicus Analytics Pvt. Ltd., and is a member of the CII FMCG and Retail Committees. A keen observer of consumer behaviour and industry trends, Prashant is passionate about technology, education and talent advancement, and believes that teaching is the best form of learning.
