The Mayor of Stara Zagora Zhivko Todorov was born on 21 September 1981 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. He graduated from Romain Rolland Foreign Language School in his native city with English and German and from St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University, specializing in European Studies. He has worked as an expert in the preparation and management of projects for applying under EU programmes in Stara Zagora Municipality and the Regional Administration of Stara Zagora. In October 2011, he won the mayoral elections in the Municipality. He is managing the Municipality for a second term.
