Jeremy Thorp

Jeremy Thorp is an Associate Director in NHS Digital, where he is responsible for the “front door” service that appraises, plans and prepares for new and emerging requirements. 

Jeremy has been involved in international standards groups such as CEN, ISO, HL7 and SNOMED International.  He was the UK representative for the epSOS project and a team member in other European projects such as Expand and Valuehealth.  He is currently task-leader for eHealth Network Joint Action (JAseHN) tasks on updating guidelines, code of conduct for secondary uses of data and inventory of specifications.  The guidelines relate to patient summary, e-prescriptions and patient registries.
