Gert De Block has been working in the energy utilities sector since 1992. He has been sitting in the front row of the Brussels’ energy scene since the start of the internal energy market and has actively contributed to the development of the EU regulatory framework concerning energy and climate policy. He is representing at European level 1500+ member companies from the electricity and natural gas sectors active in every part of the value chain - generation, distribution networks, metering, supply, and energy services.
