Maria Gergova-Bengtsson is founder and owner of United Partners – one of the leading PR agencies in Bulgaria. The agency has been among top 3 best agencies in Bulgaria for the last 10 years and has been announced as the best PR agency in Bulgaria last year. During the years United Partners has partnered with leading international PR networks as MSLGROUP, FTI, GlobalCom and BondPR. Maria and United Partners have received many national and international PR awards. Maria Gergova-Bengtsson has served as IPRA Council member for 4 years and later on as IPRA Board member for another 4 years. She has been elected as International PR Association President for 2009 - the first IPRA president from Central Eastern European region during the 55 years history of IPRA. 

Maria has been board member of Bulgarian PR society and is also founder and board member of Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies. She is also guest speaker in different Universities and in a number of national and international conferences.

For the past 19 years Maria Gergova-Bengtsson has developed and executed many communication campaigns for clients like Procter and Gamble, Nestle, IBM, Bayer, AbbVie, VIVACOM, Diageo, Intel, Western Union, ING Bank, European commission, Philips, Unicef etc. 

In 2002 she has been announced as PR specialist of the year by the Bulgarian PR Society.  Maria Gergova-Bengtsson is currently a mentor at Richard Branson’s Centre of Entrepreneurship and founding member of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).
