Sara Bell

In 2012, Sara set up Tempus Energy: a technology company focused on developing and deploying technology to cost-optimise the electricity supply chain. The Tempus platform uses algorithms and demand-side management technology to harness the financial upside of intermittent renewable power for end users. In 2015, Sara launched Tempus’ electricity supply business: the UK’s first electricity retailer to use an integrated demand-flexible trading solution. Tempus Energy Supply now services over 100 customers.

Sara is a member of the Strategic Advisory Council for Energy for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), and is a board member of the Association of Decentralised Energy (ADE). She is a Trustee of Sustainability First and a member of multiple Ofgem working groups. Sara holds a Masters in Environmental Management and is a regular speaker at conferences and industry events.
