Sourcepoint, the first content compensation platform for premium publishers, today announced the appointment of Thomas Mendrina as General Manager International for the EMEA region. Mendrina will join Sourcepoint’s seasoned leadership team that includes Ben Barokas and Brian Kane and former Appnexus CTO Geir Magnusson.

Prior to joining Sourcepoint Mendrina worked as Head of Media Publishing at Google Germany GmbH. Thomas started his career at Google following the company’s acquisition of Admeld at the end of 2011. Before Google, Mendrina was Country Manager DACH at Admeld where he was responsible for the construction of the company’s real-time bidding platform. Prior to joining Admeld Mendrina was the Head of Commercial Development for Axel Springer AG.

In his new role at Sourcepoint, Mendrina will be responsible for establishing the company’s  European headquarters in Berlin and expanding from there into the DACH region. Subsequently, he will pursue other European markets through the multilingual, international team from Berlin.
