Uwe Kubach

Prof. Dr. Uwe Kubach is a Vice President in SAP’s Products and Innovation board area. He is responsible for extending SAP’s technology platform into the Internet of Things domain. The extensions include capabilities for device management and application enablement.

Prof. Dr. Kubach is a strong supporter of the Open Innovation and Design Thinking paradigms. He established two Living Labs dedicated to user-centered innovation on applications in manufacturing and retail.

Before joining SAP’s development organization, Prof. Dr. Kubach launched the SAP Research Center in Dresden, Germany, and grew it to one of the largest research centers within SAP.

He regularly acts as an industrial consultant to organizations like the European Commission, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, and Industrie 4.0 Platform. Prof. Dr. Uwe Kubach is representing SAP in the M2M Alliance and M2M Initiative Germany.

He earned a doctorate title in computer science from the University of Stuttgart and an MBA from the Mannheim Business School and ESSEC Paris. He has been granted honorary professor from the University of Dresden.
