Simon Bichara

Webit Speaker, Investor. Advisor. Founder at Modaventure

Having been excited by electronics and computing back in his 1980s childhood, Simon started his career hacking out games in 6502 assembler from his bedroom and selling them via computer magazines. A university stint at Imperial College followed, and after that a move into consulting and finally into Financial Services technology.

Simon worked his way up into senior leadership roles in the banking industry, most recently with Barclays where he was a Managing Director in Technology. His roles at the firm included building trading systems, setting up and building out Barclay’s Capital’s offshore development centre, and leading many major development programmes.

More recently Simon has returned to his roots in technology, investing in and advising a number of firms and accelerators. His latest project is Modaventure, a new startup aimed at bringing smart solutions to the problems faced by large enterprises.
