Christopher Hafner




Chris has founded, grown and successfully exited several technology businesses.  Having been a principal in Venture Capital Chris now invests in tech-centric start-ups in the areas of Financial Services, Wellness and Healthcare.  Chris is passionate about the use of Artificial Intelligence and digitalization to enhance our humanity and improve our lives. As an investor, Chris goes beyond funding, leveraging his extensive network to provide advice and support to help innovative, provocative start-ups get to market faster and make an impact at scale.  Chris thrives at the intersection of Wellness, Technology and Finance.  He is a BBC News Contributor on the economic impact of an ageing population and the role technology can play in improving lives and reducing the financial burden of social care. 

Chris is an experienced Executive, Non-Executive Director, Management Consultant, Venture Capitalist and Entrepreneur with demonstrable success across a wide range of roles and industries including Pharma, Medical Device, Healthcare, Health-tech/Med-tech and Financial Services.  

Chris is also a Non-executive Director and founding partner of Global Innovation And New Technology Health (GIANT Health) and sits on the Advisory Board of Intelligent Automation start-up LatentBridge.  He is a Fellow of the Strategic Planning Society and a Non-Executive Director at the Association for Strategic Planning. Additionally, he is a Fellow at the UK Institute of Directors where he also serves as the Lead Examiner for Strategy. Chris recently served on the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School’s Diploma & Accredited Programmes Committee for Strategy & Innovation. Originally from Chicago, Chris now resides in London.
